Board Elections

In November each year the AACP holds it’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) where elections are held for vacant positions on the Board. The role of the Board is to set the strategic direction of AACP and agree on the focus areas of our advocacy.

Membership of Council

Membership of Council is for a term of three years, commencing immediately following the AGM. Members of Council are expected to take an active part in the work of the Council which directs the activities of the AACP, and to participate in Council meetings.
The number of Councillors should not be less than six or more than ten.

Nomination process

Each year, on behalf of the AACP Council eligible members of the AACP are invited via email to nominate for the Council.

Nominations must be made in accordance with Article 6.2.2 of the Memorandum and Articles of Association. A nomination form shall be signed by the nominator, the seconder and the nominee who shall all be financial Members of the AACP.

Eligibility

A nominee must be a financial member of the AACP.

If elected

New directors will be required to complete and sign the AACP’s Consent to Act as a Director form.
